• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have high school diploma or GED

• Complete and pass the state approved 63 hour Sales Associate Pre-License course

• Submit application to the Florida Division of Real Estate with the appropriate fee.  Electronic finger prints are required and a background check will be conducted.  

• Pass the state exam
• Exceptions to the above:
  • Attorneys with a current Florida Bar Card
  • 4 year Degree in Real Estate

• If you are taking the required 63 Hour Pre-license Course at Adair Real Estate School, the application and assistance in completing will be provided by the School.

• You can not miss more than 8 hours (one hour equals 50 minutes) of course instruction.  Classes missed must be made up within 30 days of the end of class.

• Once the application has been approved, you will receive a notice from the testing center that you are approved to take the State Exam. 

• The applicant schedules an examination date with the testing center. 

• You must score at least 75% on the state examination

Broker's License Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have high school diploma or GED

• Complete and pass the state approved 72 hour Brokers Pre-License course (a passing grade of 70% or greater)

• Hold an active Sales Associate license for 24 months out of the past 5 years

• Completed applicable post license education

• Submit application to the Florida Division of Real Estate with the appropriate fee.  New Electronic finger prints are required and a new background check will be conducted.  

• Pass the state exam (A minimum score of 75%)
• Exceptions to the above:
  • 4 year Degree in Real Estate
