SALES ASSOCIATE PRE LICENSE

This is the required course to be able to sit for the State Exam

Florida Real Estate Principles, Practices & Law is the most comprehensive prelicensing course in the state of Florida. Released annually, this course provides students and instructors with the latest developments in Florida's real estate law and practices. The content conforms to the Florida Division of Real Estate’s prescribed Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) Course I Syllabus for the prelicense course for sales associates.

Licensure for Sales Associate

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have high school diploma or GED
  • Complete and pass the state approved 63 hour Sales Associate Pre-License course
  • Submit application to the Florida Division of Real Estate with the appropriate fee.  Electronic finger prints are required and a background check will be conducted.  
  • Pass the state exam
  • Exceptions to the above:
    • Attorneys with a current Florida Bar Card
    • 4 year Degree in Real Estate
  • If you are taking the required 63 Hour Pre-license Course at Adair Real Estate School, the application and assistance in completing will be provided by the School.

  • You can not miss more than 8 hours (one hour equals 50 minutes) of course instruction.  Classes missed must be made up within 30 days of the end of class.

  • Once the application has been approved, you will receive a notice from the testing center that you are approved to take the State Exam. 

  • The applicant schedules an examination date with the testing center. 

  • You must score at least 75% on the state examination
