SALES ASSOCIATE An applicant for a Sales Associate License must submit a
completed application to DBPR Central Intake
Unit at
1940 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399-1027. The application
must be notarized. The application may be picked up at any Adair Real
Estate School location or can be found online. An application fee of
$105.00 will
be required of all applicants and payable to DBPR. Electronic finger prints
are required and a background check will be conducted.
If you are taking the required 63 Hour Pre-license Course at Adair Real
Estate School, the application and assistance in completing will be provided
by the School.
You must take the 63 Hour Pre-license Sales Associate
Course and
pass the end of class exam with a grade of 70% or greater.
You can not miss more than 8
hours (one hour equals 50 minutes) of course instruction. Classes
missed must be made up within 30 days of the end of class.
Once the application has been
approved, you will receive a notice from the testing center that you are
approved to take the State Exam.
The applicant schedules an examination date with the
testing center.
You must score at least 75% on the state examination.

BROKER
An applicant for a Brokers License must submit a
state application and pay the appropriate fee.
Twenty-four months as an active sales associate in the past 5 years is
required.
Applicants having a Florida Sales Associate License must complete
their post license education before the expiration of the sales associate
license or before applying for the broker's license.
Broker applicants must successfully complete the
Broker's Course with
a passing grade of 70% or greater.
Applicants can miss no more than 8 hours of classroom time, due to
illness or a family emergency. Any days missed must be made up within 30
days of the courses end of class exam.
Finger prints and a background check are required.
Once the application has been approved, you will receive a
notice from the testing center that you are approved to take the State Exam.
The applicant schedules an examination date with the testing
center.
A score of 75% or greater is required.

63 Hour Sales Associate
Pre-license Course*
This is the required
Sales Associate course that qualifies a person, upon successful
completion, to take the Florida State Exam.
The content of this 63 hour program is Florida real estate law, real
estate practices and principals and real estate mathematics.
We recommend this course be taken in a
class room setting.
45
Hour Sales Associate Post-license Course*
Florida Real Estate Commission rules require all sales associates
(active or inactive) to successfully complete a 45 hour post-license
course prior to their first renewal. This is a mandatory class and must
be completed in a timely manner to keep your license.
We
strongly recommend this class be scheduled ASAP after obtaining your
Florida Real Estate License.

Hour Broker Pre-license Course*
This is the required pre-license brokers course. Upon successful
completion, this course qualifies you to take the Florida State Brokerage
Exam.
Topics covered in this course include but are not limited to: Starting a
Real Estate Brokerage Business, Valuing Real Property, Listing and Selling
Real Property, Investment Real Estate, Zoning and Planning, Environmental
Concerns and Property Management.
We recommend
a class room setting for this course.

Hour Broker Post License Course*
This is the required course all brokers (active or inactive) must complete
within one year of the issuance of their Brokers License. This course is
offered in a 2 part series of 30 hours each.
Thirty hours are in Management and thirty hours in Investments are required
for the successful completion of this requirement.
